Grandma Myrt was a character. She wore her purple dress
and red hat to church long before the Red Hat Society made it
acceptable to do so. She changed the flowers and feathers
out occasionally to suit her fancy, and fancy they sometimes
were. She could be downright gaudy at times, but her friends
never noticed. They were too busy admiring her joyful spirit
and love for life and, most of all, her love for God.
One of the things Grandma Myrt taught me was to see God in
everyday life. God and Grandma tells about some of the
places I've seen God in everyday life and some places others
have told me they've seen God. Check out page 52, "God at
Wal*Mart." Yep, God was right there even while you were
buying your kids' school clothes!
