While I was taking pottery lessons from my
friend, Doug Royale (see "About the Potter), I
found myself thinking about how many
spiritual analogies could be made to God as
potter and we as clay. Doug and I would talk
about those things during my lesson., and I
couldn't resist writing them down. Before I
knew it, I had a book. Pottery Lessons gives
readers an opportunity to do some reflection
and journaling while learning about an
interesting art. Pottery Lessons is not just for
those who want to make pottery. In fact, that's
just the basis for the real purpose of the
book, which is to draw readers closer to God
and help them realize their awesome
potential and worth as God's creations.
Pottery Lessons is available at
Cokesbury (Vestavia), Eclectic Pottery
(Eclectic), amazon.com, and from me
at teelpeggy@yahoo.com (or see
"Order Form").
Many thanks to Doug Royale for demonstrating the art
of pottery making at the Clergy Spouse Retreat of the
North Alabama Conference, United Methodist Church,
at Camp Sumatanga this weekend. The retreat was a
lot of fun, and our program was a big hit!
